It is thought that the rainstorm in the Changjiang River and in the south China is caused by that the northward subhigh displacement due to low pressure attraction resulted by wide-scope thermal gas emission before big earthquake in the north China.

The impacts of surface albedo on the summer time North Africa subtropical high are investigated through comparative study of the July mean climate of these two sets of experiments.

By using a global spectral AGCM, a numerical experiment is performed on study of the influence of the anomalies of equatorial Pacific SST, arctic sea ice and Tibetan snow cover in July on the NW Pacific subtropical high and the precipitation over China.

It is studied by using NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data (1980-1999) that the relationship between the northward jumps of the upper westerly jet location and two important events of the East Asian summer monsoon activity the onset of summer monsoon over the South China Sea(SCS) and the beginning of the Meiyu rainfall in the Changjiang River and the Huaihe River basins.
