在常熟虞山西部，绝壁凌云，雄奇峻险。登上剑门放眼南望，尚湖如镜，河湖交叉，阡陌为虞山石景佳绝处。纵横，一派秀丽的江南水乡田园风光。崖上石壁裂成两半，相传是吴王夫差试剑之处。进入剑门，石壁间有一山洞，穿洞而上，可达巅，顶上有大块奇石，名“三沓石”，上部象船，中部如瓮，下部似几，半露崖外，欲坠不坠。“剑门奇石”也是“虞山十八景”之一。崖上刻着清朝康熙帝写的“烟岚高旷”四字。剑门附近有拂水岩、拂水双桥、明末民族英雄瞿式吕墓、藏海寺、报国院、剑阁等名胜古迹。
