Field geological,petrological and elementary geochemical studies reveal that the volcanic rocks,subvolcanic rocks and Muchen pluton of Xishantou Formation in the Wucun area in Zhejiang Province,which were formerly identified as calcicolous alkaline series rocks,should be typical shoshonitic rocks.
