| 跳蛛科 Salticidae；jumping spider 蜘蛛目的一科 。是蜘蛛目中最大的科，全球约有3000种。在热带和亚热带种类较多。中国南方的种类和数量都胜过北方。
体长多数不超过15毫米。体多短粗而稍扁平。8个眼分3列，均在头胸部，第一列4眼，中间两眼（前中眼）特别大，两旁的眼（前侧眼）较小，均有磁质光泽。第二列眼（后中眼）、第三列眼（后侧眼）相当小。跳蛛的视力在无脊椎动物中最佳。 跳蛛的体色绚丽多彩，雌、雄蛛色彩和斑纹常有明显的差异。跳蛛常在树皮下、落叶丛或墙缝等处结两端开口的薄囊状巢，在其中产卵，守候卵的孵化，并在巢内越冬或隐蔽。 |
