Based on the field investigation in Wudongde valley of the Jingshajiang River, and comparative analysis of available data from drills, silos and galleries in the different parts of the Jinpingzi debris deposits of the Wudongde valley, the basic features and original types of the debris deposits were investigated.
对金沙江乌东德河谷及临近河谷进行了详细的野外调查,对河谷中的金坪子堆积体不同部位进行钻孔、竖井、平硐勘探作业并取样,室内进行TL测年和重矿成分分析,运用地貌学、沉积学和年代学进行综合研究,获得了金坪子堆积体地貌过程和稳定性的初步认识,金坪子堆积体地貌过程可分为乌东德峡谷的贯通与老金沙江金坪子深槽的形成、老金沙江金坪子深槽被充填过程、金沙江改道和现代金沙江的发育3个阶段,金坪子堆积体形成于197±9。

东谷河谷位于丹巴县城西南21公里的东谷乡境内。东谷河谷又叫牦牛谷。东谷河谷海拔从4000米直下到1780米,发源于雪山,植物资源丰富,原始森林遮天蔽日,遍布奇峰异石,众多的海子星星点点地散落于河谷中。 东谷河谷最著名的是它的温泉,东谷热水塘是其中最有名的。据《七世达赖喇嘛噶桑嘉措的政教业绩》记载:第七世达赖喇嘛于1930年离开理塘,移居泰宁(今乾宁)惠远寺。住在惠远寺的近五年时间里,每年都要到丹巴的热水塘沐浴。信徒都把此地视为吉祥之地,每到农闲时节,丹巴和其他地方的乡民,便要带上丰盛的食物,在此小住几日,每天必到温泉泡上一两个时辰。
