2、土地各种属性综合影响效应的总和。它是土地的综合属性，也是土地对某种用途适宜不适宜，或适宜程度高低的表示。土地质量的差别，实质上是土地生产力高低的差异。土地质量可以用可度量测定的土地属性，即土地特性指标综合表述，也可以用土地生产力的指标表示，如产量、产值、净产值、纯收入、利润、级差收益等。在不同的土地利用状态下，土地质量的含义也有差异。在农、林、牧业等利用中，土地质量指的是土地生物生产能力的差异，即土地劳动生产率的高低；在工业、交通、城镇等非农业建设利用中，则是指以区位条件优劣为主造成的劳动生产率或土地使用效益的差异。
