On Hedging Strategies in Political Diplomatic Language: Their Linguistic and Pragmatic Realizations;

This paper introduces different studies of vague language,and focuses on a number of selected political diplomatic language materials to study the linguistic realization of vagueness in diplomacy from lexical,syntactical and discourse level and analysis their pragmatic functions.

In the political diplomatic occasions, the appropriate use of hedging would contribute to the enhancement of language validity to a certain extent, instead of weakening the accuracy of political diplomatic language.
