贵东花岗杂岩体是一个由鲁溪岩体、下庄岩体、帽峰岩体、笋洞岩体、隘子岩体和司前岩体等组成的印支—燕山期复式花岗岩体,不同的岩体不仅在主要元素含量、铝过饱和指数等方面存在差异,而且在一系列稀土元素特征方面,如稀土总量、δEu值以及LREE/HREE、(La/Yb)N、(La/Sm)N、(Gd/Yb)N比值等,也存在很大的不同。

补充资料：宝峰湖-鹰窝寨
位于索溪镇正南2公里。宝峰湖长2.5公里。数年前，这里还是幽深峡谷，当地人在谷口石隙间修建了高达72米的水库，蓄水灌田，无意中造就了一处绝世美景。清澈无比的湖泊倒映群山，水因山而绿，山得水更青。宝峰湖已开发的景点以高峡平湖、鹰窝古寨、绝壁飞瀑、一线天峡谷等最为叫绝。 宝峰湖是一个拦峡筑坝而成的人工湖。湖水依山势呈长形，约9公里。水面如镜，倒映嵯峨群峰。荡舟湖上 ，登玲珑翠绿的湖心岛，恍若置身画中。登上湖边高耸入云的鹰窝寨，俯瞰宝峰湖，像一块碧玉镶嵌在群山之中。 百丈峡：相传百丈峡是一个古战场。诸景点如磐马椿、磨刀石、插旗峰、接水桥等均与古代战场相关联，故百丈峡又名“百仗峡”。武陵源各风景区少有史传，而此处因地势险要在明初便见诸文字。据《慈利县志》记载：“峡高百丈，高秀入云，石屏赭赤，......关眼突兀，奇甲天下”。
