贸易利益通过国际贸易使一国得到的国民经济福利提高和推动经济发展的好处。在理论上，贸易利益可分成两种，一种是得自交易的贸易利益，一种是得自分工的贸易利益。得自交易的贸易利益是一国从封闭经济转向开放经济后.不改变以前的生产结构和产量，只是指用一部分国内价格较低的产品出口，换回国内价格相对较高的产品，就会使该国以实物衡量的国民收入增加，该国居民得到的经济福利增加。得自分工的贸易利益是一国从封闭经济转向开放经济后，根据国际市场商品的相对价格调整产品结构和产量，并将本国优势产品出口量扩大，从而使该国得到比单纯得自交易的贸易利益更多的经济福利，使以实物衡量的国民收入增加更多。得自交易的贸易利益和得自分工的贸易利益的划分是理论上的，一般国家从封闭经济转向开放经济，不会保持原有的生产结构和产量，而会扩大优势产品生产，缩小劣势产品生产，并出口优势产品进口劣势产品同时获得来自交易的贸易利益和来自分工的贸易利益。
