In order to understand the phylogenetic relationships among Nocardiopsis species more rationally, the gyrB, sod and rpoB gene partial sequences of 24 validly published Nocardiopsis species were determined.

Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain YIM 90022 was closely related to four members of the genus Nocardiopsis with 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity values of 98.

One Nocardiopsis strain YIM90039,which having typical morphological characteristics of genus Nocardiopsis,was isolated from hypersaline soil in Qinghai province.
