苏联俄罗斯诗人。年轻时当过演员、搬运工。1915年开始发表作品。1923年毕业于莫斯科大学社会科学系。20年代是构成派领导人之一。早期诗歌语言抽象难懂。叙事长诗《乌里亚拉耶夫性格》(1924)叙述反革命富农乌里亚拉耶夫叛乱被粉碎的过程。1956年修改了这首长诗，把列宁当作中心人物。30年代写作哲理性诗歌和戏剧。著有历史悲剧《骑士伊奥安》(1937)、《巴别克》（1941）等。1941年加入共产党。卫国战争时期在克里米亚、高加索、波罗的海战线工作。三部曲诗作《俄罗斯》(1941～1957)表达了爱国主义热忱，肯定人民群众在推动历史前进中的巨大作用。剧本《高于自己命运的人》（1962）描写列宁生前最后几个月的生活和思考。《诗的工作间》(1962)是其创作经验的总结。《啊，我的青年时代》(1966)是自传体小说。
