补充资料：东山战斗守备一等功臣连
中国人民解放军福建军区公安第80团第2连。1953年7月16日拂晓，国民党陆海空军1.3万余人窜犯福建省东山岛。该连坚守东山岛中部的核心阵地──200高地,克服弹药缺乏和吃不上饭、喝不上水的困难，同三面围攻的1000余名国民党军奋战27个小时。在友邻部队的支援下，击退国民党军18次进攻和偷袭,歼灭400余人，守住了阵地,为取得战斗胜利作出了重大贡献。全连有2人立一等功,13人立二等功,69人立三等功。1953年8月7日,福建军区领导机关授予该连"东山战斗守备一等功臣连"称号。
