The results show that Au was precipitated mainly as simple substance, while Pt and Pd were precipitated as telluride respectively when Te coprecipitated with Au, Pt, Pd.

There are mainly four types of telluride bearing gold deposits in China, namely, gold bearing quartz vein type in Archaeozoic granite greenstone terrain, altered tectonite type in Proterozoic volcanic rocks, epithermal gold silver deposits in Meso Cenozoic volcanic rocks and gold deposits related with granite.

The new synthetic technique for the preparation of metal tellurides by dissolving tellurium alloy cathodes in ethylenediamine solution at room temperature in the presence of organic electrolytes such as tetra alkyl ammonium iodide or bromide has been introduced in this paper.
