：百部科植物直立百部Stemonasessilifolia（Miq．）的块根。
【采 制】
：春、秋季采挖，除去须根，洗净，置沸水中略烫或蒸至无白心，取出，晒干。
【性 味】
：块根纺锤形，上端较细长，皱缩弯曲，长5～12cm，直径0.5～1cm。表面黄白色或淡黄棕色，有不规则深纵沟及细皱纹，断面平坦，淡黄棕色或黄白色，皮部较宽，中柱扁缩。质脆。气微，味甘、苦。性微温，味甘、苦。
【植物形态】
：多年生草本，高30～60cm。茎直立，不分枝。叶常3～4片轮生，卵形或椭圆形，长4～6cm，宽2～4cm，先端渐尖，主脉3～5；叶柄短或近无柄。花小，多生于茎下部鳞状叶腋间，有细长花梗，直立或向上斜生；花被片4，淡绿色；雄蕊4，药隔膨大并突出而有披针形附属物；子房卵形，无花柱。蒴果扁卵形。花期4～5月，果期7月。

：生于山坡灌丛或竹林下。主产安徽、江苏、湖北、浙江、山东。
【化学成份】
：含直立百部碱（sessilistemonine）、霍多林碱（hordorine）、对叶百部碱（tuberostemonine）和原百部碱（protostemonine）等。
【功能主治】
：润肺下气止咳，杀虫。用于新久咳嗽、肺劳咳嗽、百日咳；外用于头虱、体虱、蜕虫病、阴痒症。
