焦距 focal length 表明光学系统焦点位置的特征距离。对薄透镜而言,物方焦点至透镜光心(透镜中心,见凸透镜)的距离称物方焦距,用f表示;像方焦点至透镜光心的距离称像方焦距,用f ′表示。凸透镜的焦距为实焦距,为正值;凹透镜的焦距为虚焦距,为负值。透镜两侧介质的折射率不等时,物方焦距f与像方焦距f ′并不相等,只有当透镜两侧介质的折射率相同时,才有f=f ′。透镜焦距与透镜材料的折射率和两个表面的曲率半径有关。通过焦点并与主光轴垂直的平面称为焦面。 |
