According to planted characteristics in Shouguang vegetable growing areas, analyzing water and soil samples of the Solanum vegetables, by using the method of mathematical statistics and correlation analysis, it is regarded that there is a certain relation between the quality of vegetables and agricultural geological background.

The regional agrogeological background (including morphologic, stratigraphic, geostructural and geochemical background has been studied of Qingyang and the neighbouring area in South Anhui for the requirements of agricultural development, on which the geological limitation on regional agriculture and its advantage are summerized.
