形态特征:苏铁科苏铁属常绿棕榈状植物。树干圆柱形，高达4米。叶螺旋状排列，叶片羽状全裂，长2-3米，叶柄两侧具短刺;叶羽片叉状分裂，裂片线状披针形，长20-30厘米，宽2-3厘米，基部不对称，边缘波状。小孢子叶球圆柱形，长15-18厘米，直径约4厘米，梗长3厘米，粗1.5厘米 小孢子叶近匙形或宽楔形，黄色，边缘橘黄色，长1-1·8厘米，宽约8毫米，下面有多数3-4枚聚合而生的小孢子囊;大孢子叶橘黄色，长约8厘米，下部长柄状，上部蓖齿状分裂，裂片钻形。
生境分布:生于海拔130-175米的石灰岩低峰丛石山中、下部。分布于广西和云南。
