根据盘南矿区马依西井田大量地质资料分析,认为龙潭组形成于潮坪、三角洲及海湾—泻湖沉积体系,下部为潮坪—潮道沉积组合,主要由潮坪相、潮道相、沼泽及泥炭沼泽相组成,形成的煤层硫分高,连续性差;中部为三角洲沉积组合,主要由前三角洲相、三角洲前缘相及三角洲平原相组成,其煤层硫分低,稳定性好,分叉少;上部为海湾—潟湖相沉积组合,由潟湖相局部海湾相及沙洲砂坝相组成。

补充资料:六盘水矿区
位于贵州省西部乌蒙山区,包括六枝、水城、盘江三个矿务局,是中国西南地区最大的煤炭基地。贵昆铁路干线穿过矿区北部,整个矿区延绵 150公里,面积达20000平方公里,储量丰富,煤质优良,是煤炭开发的重点地区之一。1965年开始大规模矿井建设,到1975年底,建成投产矿井21处,设计能力1000万吨,洗煤厂5座,设计能力年入洗原煤 491万吨,同煤炭配套的发电、水泥、矿灯、机械修造等10多家企业也相应建成。六盘水矿区的煤炭不仅供应西南地区,而且还供应广东、广西。
