【来源】
为芸香科植物黄皮的种子。植物形态详"黄皮果"条。
【采集】
夏、秋间采，鲜用或晒干。
【药材】
干燥的种子呈扁平卵圆形，长11～14毫米，宽8～9毫米，厚3～4毫米；先端略尖而稍弯向一侧，基部圆钝，基部1/3呈棕色，较甲滑，上部2/3呈棕黄色，具不规则的皱纹；种脐位于先端，近椭圆形；合点位于基部，与种脐同一侧面；种脊略突起，自种脐通向合点；种皮薄而脆，往往破碎脱落；子叶二枚，土黄色，肥厚，质脆，易折断，断面较平；胚极小，无胚乳。 产广东、广西等地。
【化学成分】
种子含油量53.21%。

①《广西中药志》："味辛微苦，性温，无毒。" ②广州部队《常用中草药手册》："苦辛，微温。"
【功用主治】
理气，散结，止痛，解毒。治胃痛，疝气，疮疖。 ①《生草药性备要》："治疝气。" ②《南宁市药物志》："治胃痛，外敷治蛇伤。" ③《广西中药志》："行气，淌滞，散结。治食滞胃痛，睾丸肿痛。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，2～4钱。外用：捣敷。
【选方】
①治胃痛，腹部痉挛性疼痛：黄皮果核三至五钱。水煎服。(广州部队《常用中草药手册》) ②治小儿头上疮疖：黄皮果核，水磨涂。(《本草求原》) ③治百足咬伤：黄皮核，捣烂敷之。(《岭南采药录》)
