因被保险人死亡越迟，年金给付的次数越少，年金的现值也越少，因而定期保险的保险金额是逐年递减的。【家庭收入保险】一种终身保险与保额递减定期保险相结合的人寿保险。其保险责任为:被保险人无论何时死亡，均按保险金额给付死亡保险金。如果被保险人在约定的年限内死亡(如投保后20年内、30年内，一般是被保险人达到60或65岁之前)，除给付死亡保险金外，还要按保险金额的1%每月给付其遗属年金，直至约定的年限届满。这种保险中的死亡保险金给付属于终身保险，年金给付实际上是定期保险的死亡保险金，采用年金方式给付。
