中国著名的矿泉疗养及旅游避暑地。位于内蒙古自治区境内大兴安岭中段西麓，布尔欣河畔。山多白桦松林，沟坡分布有五花草原,风景秀丽,气候宜人。阿尔山蒙古语意为"圣水"。东山麓散布有大小泉眼48个，泉水中含有钾、钠、钙、硫等30多种化学元素。各泉相距不远，但温度及矿化成分相差很大，冷泉冰沁彻骨，温泉与体温相当，热泉炙人肌肤。因上述差异，可分别治疗关节炎、肌肉萎缩、皮肤病痛、风湿等疾病。相传猎人屡见受伤之鹿兽等生物,至此饮泉并浸沐后而痊愈,因而发现其治病功能。
