Taking the primary air enrichment and preheating(PRP) burner as an example,it is shown that high temperature air combustion with high combustion stability and low NO_x emission can be realized on the pulverized coal boiler by use of the high temperature reflow flue gas to rapidly preheat the primary air of low air-coal ratio.

To summarize the formation mechanisms and controlling measures during combustion and analyses the characteristics of the high temperature air combustion, the pu1verized coal low ash combustor and new oxygen-firing and the main reasons of low NOX emission.

As a result, the high efficient and low NOx emission operation mode of the boiler was obtained.

Using this technique can bring about significant fuel savings, low NOx emission, high heat-utilization efficiency and size reduction of the facility.
