This paper is intended to present a preliminary model of transfo(?) mation from moraine to the deposits of glacial debris flow, to describe the distinguishing marks between the two types of deposits, and to compare and study some characteristics of granularity, light and heavy mineral, clay mineral and gravel fabric of them.

There are four sets of Quaternary glacial deposits along the south and north slopes and the valleys of the Ayilariju Mountains in north of Zhada basin, Tibet Autonomous Region.

,After a study of macroscopic features for the Quaternary glacial vestiges in the Tanzhesi area of the Western Hills of Beijing,the analysis of the appearances and assemblage features of quartz grain surface textures has been carried out for the palaeoglacial deposits of the Guantuoling and Zhaojiatai glaciations.

Based on the analysis of grain size,mineral composition,chemical composition,and sedimentary micro-structures of the glacial deposits of Hailuogou Glacier,the sedimentary characteristics and subglacial chemical-physical processes of maritime type glacier are discussed in this paper.
