性质:有金属光泽的绿色结晶。熔点171℃。熔于醇、醚、氨和热水,微溶于冷水,不溶于石油醚。见光后成红棕色,有特殊气味。

制备方法:将100g铁钡(硫酸高铁铵)溶于65℃的300ml水中;将25g对苯二酚溶于100ml水中。然后将铁矾溶液加入搅拌中的对苯二酚溶液中,即析了针状结晶。冷却,过滤,用冷水洗涤,晾干,得产品15g。

用途:用于醌氢醌电极(酸碱度测定)。
