天台智者塔院
国清寺北五里，即智者塔院。隋开皇十七年（597年），智顗圆寂于剡县石城寺，其徒舆葬于此，建肉身塔，名定慧真身塔院。宋大中祥符元年（1008年）改真觉寺。后废。隆兴（1163一1164年）间，僧真稔重兴佛殿僧房。清咸丰、同治之交（1861一1862年），毁于战火，光绪十五年（1889年）重建。因智顗是中国佛教天台宗创始人，影响深远，1982年6月，列为省级重点文物保护单位，更名为智者塔院。
近年，智者塔院修葺一新，正殿三开间，门匾为"智者大师肉身塔"。肉身塔用青石制成，连座高约7米，镂刻精细。2层6面，每层雕刻杆、枋、柱、斗、拱，第一层正面佛龛设智顗坐像。殿壁列天台宗17位祖师画像：智顗、灌顶、智威、慧威、玄朗、湛然、道邃、行满、广修、物外、元诱、清竦、羲寂、义通、知礼、慈云、传灯。两厢各为五开间，四角均有天井。后左角天井有唐碑《台州隋故智者大师修禅道场碑铭并序》，高2.3米，宽1.1米，额篆"修禅道场碑铭"6字。寺山门朝东，有甘泉井，其水晶莹清洌。南门题"真觉寺"，门前匍伏二石狮，甚古。寺北侧有"唐天台教主荆溪尊者湛然大师"、"唐法集宗章安尊者主持灌顶大师"、"明传林教观幽溪传灯法师"3座天台宗祖师墓。
