The contents of Hg,Cd,Zn and Pb in the topsoil (0~20cm) of farmland on three sections of Xihe river outlet in Shenyang were investigated and the status of the heavy metal pollution was evaluated by the monomial and Nenerow aggregate pollution index,respectively.
