oil shale

   干馏后可获得页岩油的高灰分致密薄层状可燃有机岩。又称油母页岩。呈淡褐色到暗褐色,暗淡无光泽。能按层分裂成薄片。可直接点燃,燃烧时发出沥青臭味。页岩油经炼制可获汽油、煤油、柴油、润滑油和石蜡等。一般认为,油页岩是粉沙、淤泥和低等生物残体腐解的有机质沉积形成的。有机质在厌氧细菌的活动下,经过沥青化作用并与掺入的粉沙、淤泥等形成含矿物杂质较多的腐泥物质,沉积在地下深处,经成岩作用和挥发物质散失等物理化学作用,成为油页岩层。含油率和发热量是油页岩工业用途的重要工艺指标。含油率是指油页岩干馏后获得的页岩油含量百分比。工业要求最低含油率在4%~5%以上。发热量一般在8.4兆焦/千克左右,为煤的25%~50%。因此,油页岩的工业用途主要是炼油和作化工原料。中国油页岩储量丰富,主要产于辽宁抚顺、广东茂名等地。
