反担保保险人在出具无限额担保函时，要求被保险人相应签署一种向保险人担保的函。它要求被保险人把保险人支付的共同海损分摊金超过保险单应赔付部分退还给保险人。由于目前共同海损的分摊价值均以货物的到岸价格为基础，因此只要保险是足额的，保险金额总是大于到岸价格，故反担保已无实际意义:
