在进行胸部检查时被检查者按平时说话的声音说："一、二、三"时，此时用听诊器放在胸壁上可听到柔和而不清楚的弱音，即为听觉语音。检查时要注意在胸部两侧对称部位比较其强弱及性质。听觉语音的改变与触觉语颤相似，在支气管阻塞、胸腔积液，胸壁肥厚或水肿、肺气肿时听觉语音减弱；当有肺实变、肺组织受压而致密并与支气管畅通或肺内空腔与支气管相通时，语音的传导增强而响亮，听到的字音也清楚，则称为支气管语音(bronchophony）。
