性质:也称原子或分子的多电子理论或精确的电子对理论。该理论认为体系的总电子相关能正。是由各对电子的相关能εij之和贡献的,即Ec=。这相当于说各电子对的相关作用彼此独立而具有可加性。IEPA的突出优点是计算量较小,所求相关能具有大小一致性。但由于它不是一种严格的变分方法,而且局部变分函数一般不是体系对称性算符的本征函数,因而计算的相关能一般超出实际值的5%~10%;此外,其相关能轨道的酉变换不能保持不变,所以当轨道不同时,计算的相关能也不相同。
