In this paper,we designed and achieved the encoded and modulated RF pulse signal and the local oscillating signal for ionospheric digital ionosonde by using ARM7 and DDS technology.

By using pulse compression technology,which is widely used in signal processing of modern radar system,a correlation arithmetic circuit is designed for decoding 13-bit Barker code in receiver part of ionospheric digital ionosondes based on FPGA platform,which resolves the contradiction between the object′s action range and range resolution in digital ionosondes.
