合称“化”。又称“溶出、溶入”。电影中表示时间和空间转换过程的方法之一。在一个画面逐渐隐去（化出）的同时，另一个画面逐渐显露出来（化入）。运用这种方法，可使一个场景徐徐过渡到另一个场景，造成前后互相联系的感觉，省略某些无须表现的繁琐过程。“化”是一种时间较短的间隔。根据内容需要，其速度可快可慢。“化”的技巧，常用来分隔和联接不完整的段落、场面以及过场戏。它既表示前后镜头之间的间隔，又表示它们之间的密切联系。这种镜头组接方法，比较含蓄委婉，往往寓有深意。两个镜头有一部分叠合在一起，使人感到后一事物是从前一事物中产生或发展出来的，因此具有对比、象征、比喻、讽刺等作用。
