非彩色(aehromatle eolors)黑色、白色以及介于两者之间明度不同的灰色。非彩色只有明度这一特性，其明度是由物体表面的反射系数决定的。当照到物体表面光强度相等时，表面的反射系数大，则其明度大，反之则小。例如，自纸的反射系数达85%，所以看上去感到明亮，黑绒的反射系数只有33%，所以看上去感到暗。非彩色的明度，除由物体表面的反射系数决定外，还与眼睛的感受性有关。同一物体由眼睛感受性低者看来感到暗些，而眼睛感受性高者觉得亮些。 (金志成撰林仲贤审)
