六股尖又名鄣公山、三天子都。位于休宁县鹤城乡冯村东南方与江西省婺源县交界处，是怀玉山脉的最高峰，海拔1629.8米。东北坡为钱塘江正源—新安江的发源地，有“三江源头”之。六股尖占地24平方公里，因主峰由六大支脉汇聚而成，故名。六股尖山高林密，景色奇绝，动植物资源十分丰富，计有植物883种，动物77种，其中永瓣藤属植物、华东黄杉林对植物区系划分和地史变迁研究有重要意义。六股尖山腰有著名的龙井潭瀑布，瀑布从数十丈高的崖头倾泻而下，颇为壮观，为新安江头第一瀑。
