In order to reduce the algorithm operation time,we propose a novel segmentation algorithm of marrow cell images based on the mathematical morphological pyramid and the watershed segmentation.

In order to eliminate the noise and preserve the fine structure features of the scanned image, a method of scanned image denoising based on mathematical morphological pyramid is proposed, which is used to decompose an image level-wise and the detail information is filtered in different resolution spaces, finally restructure a cleaned image with the detail information processed.

A fusion method is introduced which is based on morphological pyramid decomposition,and applied to ikonos images.
