This paper briefly introduces the establishment of “three high” complex halo prospecting model for uranium and the experience in the application of the model to forecasting target areas of uranium prospecting in Tangdong area,northern Guangdong.

The surface micrographs of halo and cross-sections of glass and kovar were investigated by SEM,and the chemical composition of halos was studied by EDS analysis.

The Carboniferous non-structural traps in Tazhong area can be divided into stratigraphic traps,lithologic traps and combination traps according to their genesis and shapes.

The formation was analysed by chart stacking technology along the sealing surface of the trap,a large tectonic lithologic complex trap was found in the top of the formation.
