| 光盘出版物 CD-base publication 电子出版物中的一个大类。诞生于20世纪80年代中期。与其他磁介质的电子出版物相比，光盘出版物以其容量巨大的优势成为电子出版物中的方向性产品。 一般的计算机高密度软磁盘，容量1.2兆～ 1.4兆左右，光盘的容量则为600兆上下，是磁盘的近500倍。一张光盘可以存储如下数量的信息：3亿汉字 ，或74分钟立体声音乐，或74分钟影视画面，或数百至数千张彩色图片，这是磁盘电子出版物所不可企及的。 光盘出版物中包含一些不同的种类，最常见的是CD-ROM、CD-I和VideoCD。CD-ROM是在多媒体计算机上使用的一种光盘格式，用途最为广泛。CD-I是通过CD-I驱动器在电视上播放的 一种光盘出版物。Video CD是既可在计算机上播放，也可在电视上播放的影视光盘，但对播放装置有一定的设备要求 。此外还有一些其他种类的光盘出版物 ，如PhotoCD（像片光盘）、3DO（一种游戏光盘）、Sega CD等。 播放装置的不统一是光盘出版物使用中的一大问题。 |
