制备或来源：以乙炔和丙酮为原料，在丁醇溶液中与氢氧化钾反应，生成2，5-二甲基己炔-3-二醇钾-2，5，水解（或中和），可生成2，5-二甲基己炔-3-二醇-2，5。在镍催化剂作用下，加氢，生成2，5-二甲基己二醇，在硫酸存在下，用过氧化氢氧化，生成2，5-二甲基己二酸，再在硫酸作用下，在35℃与叔丁醇进行叔丁基化反应制得。取出有机层，洗涤，减压精馏精制得。
备注：易爆。分解温度140～150℃。
