三国时期魏国谋士、将领。字士季。颍川长社（今河南长葛东）人。出身名门，父钟繇位三公。钟会有才干，精通玄学。魏齐王芳正始年间(240～248)，由秘书郎迁中书侍郎。正元二年(255),毌丘俭作乱，钟会从大将军司马师东征，迁黄门侍郎。甘露二年(257),都督扬州诸军事诸葛诞反于寿春，又从大将军司马昭讨之，被委以腹心之任。出谋划策居多，时人比为张良。迁司隶校尉，仍参与朝廷重大决策。名士嵇康被杀，便是他的主意。景元三年(262),司马昭欲大举伐蜀，朝臣多以为不可,会独赞成。被任为镇西将军，都督关中诸军事,四年,统十余万人,与邓艾、诸葛绪分三路进军。蜀将姜维等合兵守剑阁，钟会攻之不克，拟撤军还。赖邓艾取道阴平，先攻下成都,蜀亡,会乃得继续前进。蜀主将姜维归降。钟会进位司徒,忌邓艾功名,密告邓艾有反状。咸熙元年(264),艾被收捕。钟会独统大军，威震西土。钟会谋反，欲倚姜维割据蜀地，但部将不愿反者发动兵变。兵变中，钟会被乱兵所杀。
