谓众生于此四法，不了虚假，而于心识之境，妄生邪见，执着取相，故名识境四相。
［一、我相］，谓众生于五阴法中，若即若离，计我、我所之实，是名我相。（五阴者，色阴、受阴、想阴、行阴、识阴也。若即若离者，谓计即阴是我，离阴是我也。我、我所者，我即假名，我所即五阴也。）
［二、人相］，谓众生于五阴法中，妄计我是人，我生人道，异于余道，是名人相。
［三、众生相］，谓众生于五阴法中，妄计色受想行识众共而生此身，是名众生相。
［四、寿者相］，谓众生于五阴法中，妄计我受一期寿命，或长或短，是名寿者相。（一期者，谓从生至死也。）
