资信调查银行对其国外代理行的资产情况、信誉度等进行的调查。做好对代理行的资信调查，是做好对外业务工作的重要环节。资信调查的内容包括:代理行的背景、历史、组织、资本构成、资力大小、业务特点、经营作风及与本行的业务往来关系。同时，还应根据业务需要和可能，注意收集和研究有关国家的金融市场、银行制度、货币利率、银行业务经营特点和习惯做法，以及外汇管理和进出口贸易的有关规定等等。资信调查首先必须做好代理行有关资料的积累工作将建立代理行关系的时间、往来行(处)和印押关系、帐户情况、历年来业务往来数字、来访情况等，逐一登记在代理行卡片上。对于业务往来中交涉的条件、收汇考核等也应整理归档，积累资料。其次利用各种渠道进行了解，也可索取对方年报进行分析。再次通过资信较好的代理行进行了解。
