| 《泰晤士世界地图集》 The TimesAtlas of the World 英国伦敦泰晤士图书公司出版的世界普通地图集。第一版于1895年出版 ，117页，图集一半以上的图幅是欧洲部分。1921年出第二版，称《泰晤士世界测量地图集》，有112幅双面展开页图版，其中1／3图幅为欧洲部分。1955～1959年出5卷本的第三版，又称世纪中叶版，有122幅图版，每卷后附有地名索引。1967年出第四版，改为一卷本，称综合版。第四版又经多次修订出版，1985年出第七版。图集开本为45厘米×30厘米，有双面展开页地图123幅，前部为世界总图，包括世界矿产、能源、食物、气候、气候与食物生产潜力、植被、人类和政区8幅专题图，后部的115幅为世界各地的分区、分国普通地理图。 《泰晤士世界地图集》注意采用新的制图资料和统计资料，编排在图集前面的为有关地球科学和天文学的文字说明和彩色插图。地名索引21万余条，每地注明经纬度。其中关于中国边界的绘示有错误。 |
