半坡型仰韶文化陶器 以陕西西安半坡遗址为代表，距今已有六千多年。陶器都是手制。主要用泥条盘筑法，小型器物直接用手捏制，有少部分见有便用慢轮加工的痕迹。典型器皿有圜底钵、小口细颈大腹壶、直口尖底瓶和葫芦形器等。以彩陶最具特色，纹饰单纯，动物形象较多，以鱼纹最普遍，几何形纹也较常见，以直线，折线和波线等几种基本线形组成，具有一种纯朴和稚拙的情趣。半坡陶器上同一种类的花纹，几乎都装饰于同一类型器物的特定部位，用于不同器物的为数很少，这是半坡装饰手法的另一特色。
