华中农业大学图书馆图书馆面积31136平方米，生均1.5平方米，内设中文社科图书、中文自科图书、外文图书、中文期刊、外文期刊、工具书、报刊、教学参考书、赠书、电子阅览室、多媒体阅览室、视频阅览室、本校教师著作等12个阅览室；参考咨询、网络信息查询、查目中心、多功能学术报告厅、休息廊、咖啡廊等现代图书馆公共服务体系与设施一应俱全；教授研究室和研究生研究室与楼顶花园相邻；图书馆整体建筑内外环境优美，入口大厅上空分层向上推进，错落有致，颇为壮观；主附楼连体建筑虚实结合，曲径相通，以人为本与人文气息十分浓郁。图书馆现有职工69人,其中高级职称15人,硕士7人。
近10年来，图书馆在网络建设、自动化建设和文献资源建设与信息服务等方面取得了显著成效，曾先后被认定为：湖北省高校优秀级图书馆、湖北省研究级文献收藏馆、中国学术期刊文献检索咨询站（农业）一级站、武汉市科技情报先进集体、湖北省高校图书馆自动化测评优秀馆、湖北省高校读者服务优秀馆以及calis中文联合编目b级馆。
