性质:以硅酸盐无机物为基料的一类防锈漆。分为水基和溶剂型两类。水基型以碱金属(锂、钠、钾或季铵盐)硅酸盐无机物为基料,锌粉为颜料。溶剂型的基料是硅酸乙酯,其水解后产生乙醇,待乙醇挥发后留下一层易于涂覆面漆的中性膜,同时硅酸乙酯还能够在低温-5℃甚至-10℃下施工。此类涂料特点是耐久性优异,被誉为“永久性底漆”,可与乙烯类、环氧或氯化橡胶系涂料面漆配套用于船舶外壳(包括船底)及甲板等作防锈底漆。
