揭示、报道与某一地区有关的文献的目录。中国南北朝时《关东风俗传》中有《坟籍志》, 专录一方人士的著作，是中国 最早的地 方文献目录。南宋高似孙的《剡录》中著录了地方人士的著作，是地方文献中兼备书目的先例。随着地方志编撰的盛行，专记某一地区人物和著作，专记某地出版物 的地方文 献目录开始出现，如明末祁承的《两浙著作考》、曹学佺的《蜀中著作考》、清代邢澍的《关右经籍考》、孙诒让的《温州经籍志》。20世纪以来，随着历史地理学研究的开展，地方志编写和地区、城市经济研究的深入，地方文献目录日益增多。
