报道摄影(News photography)，又称新闻摄影。在报纸、杂志的版面和凹印插页上，以报道为目的而刊载的照片摄影之总称。包括人物、事件、科学记录到记录片摄影，几首涉及所有领域的摄影。
新闻摄影指刊载于报版上的报道照片。多数属于优先考虑时间速度的消息照片。印刷方式不同之外，纸质也差，无法再现细微的调子，其有高调的反差稍大的照片，印刷效果较好。
