In this paper, the mean-wavelength stability is discussed as an important characteristic of Erbium-doped superfluorescent fiber sources (EDSFS), and the variations of mean-wavelength of the amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) with the pump power of various EDSFS are quantitatively studied; which provides the basis for the design and optimization of the EDSFSs with high mean-wavelength stability.
