大理天主堂位于大理古城新民路东，建于１９３０年。坐东向西，礼拜堂总９间，东西长３６米，宽１３米，总面积４７０平方米。抬梁式建筑、重檐歇山顶，上下屋檐均用四跳偷心造斗拱挑檐，斗拱每间４垛，皆雕瑞兽为饰，檐角饰凤凰起翘。
礼拜堂部分为７间，东为祭台，祀圣母像。西为门楼，楼顶建有四角攒尖顶钟楼，门楼仿白族民居建筑，用多层米字斗拱挑檐，构件雕刻精致。天主教堂采用了白族木构建筑形式，具有中西结合的特点。
