The new technology of the dieless hydroforming of spherical vessels from combination frustum shells is put forward in the present paper,and on the basis of many investigation experiments, a closed shell with a proper structure is determined,and its hydrobulging process is simulated by means of elastoplastic finite element method,at last success is obtained through experiments.

By using a penaltyelement method, the paper provides the compatible relations of composite shells under global coordinates.

Analyzes some computational method about volume of truncated pyramid in Book of Measurements,explores the formulas construction and source of theoretical about them,points out the significance on study the Book of Measurements from a view of mathematical communication.
